Inside, oven fans hummed – busy delivering that delicious aroma – and there was the chatter of an organised team. Shelving was piled with smart cardboard packaging and greaseproof paper. Packing labels spilled from their boxes. And there were trays and trays of jammy delights arranged in rows and impressed with personalised messages. We pulled three chairs around the end of a long table – of wood block and blue resin – made by Saskia’s husband.
