Dear men,
you are not the problem.

The issues facing men today stem from a society weighed down by complex, multifaceted challenges. Rather than simple binaries or blame, what’s needed is a recognition that improvement for one group does not mean opposition to another. True progress relies on collaboration, inclusivity, and understanding.

Men are confronted by staggering realities:

• Boys trail girls at every educational stage.

• Men comprise 97% of the prison population, endure harsher sentences, and face higher rates of incarceration.

• 84% of the UK’s homeless are men.

• Prostate cancer claims more lives than breast cancer, yet receives half the funding.

• One in three domestic violence victims is male—yet support and shelters are nearly nonexistent.

• Men die five years earlier than women and often receive poorer healthcare.

• Men work, on average, six hours more per week than women—adding up to two extra months per year.

• 99% of military deaths, 96% of workplace deaths, and nearly all outdoor labour are shouldered by men.

• Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50, accounting for 75% of suicides in the UK.

• Addiction and violence disproportionately impact men as both victims and perpetrators.

• Men are less likely to seek help for mental health, yet more likely to suffer in silence.

This reality is not widely acknowledged as the emergency it truly is.

On International Men’s Day, we want to flip the script with a biscuit gifting campaign. 

When surveyed, men seldom choose the soft, heartwarming messages often seen in gifting.

Instead, real male friendship is built on banter, playful insults, and humour. A subtle language of care. Sending a biscuit emblazoned with “Hey dick head” or “You Little Fucker” does not diminish the sentiment; when it still delivers support, connection, and a way to check in.

Each biscuit is 7.5 cm in diameter and arrives beautifully packaged in a gift box.
